                            WISCONSIN GARDEN CLUB FEDERATION
                                                  PRESENTS
                                        "PERFECT VISION 2020"

All members of Central Region are invited to participate in presenting the 91st National Garden Club Convention "Perfect Vision 2020"  in Milwaukee, Wis. on May 12-16, 2020 at the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino at 1611 West Canal Street.  Plans are well under way with a Wisconsin sponsored Tri-refresher on May 11th and a Post Convention Tour to the newly  renovated International Crane Foundation, the only one like it in the world,  on May 16th.  Also being featured as a Post-Convention workshop on  May 16th is an 8 hour Botanic Arts Jewelry Making Workshop by pre-registration, with a limit of 25 participants. There will also be a Petite Horticulture Specialty Flower Show during the convention.  Watch for the schedule to be posted mid-summer on the NGC website.

Additional programming includes Dan Heims, from Oregon, Horticulturist and Humorist;  Kathleen Hawryluk, Designer Extraordinaire; Jan Bills - Two Women and a Hoe; and Dr. Archibald from the International Crane Foundation.  Break-out Sessions include Don Traas, Tree Arborist; Jumping Worms, Bernette Williams; Specialty Mushrooms, Leslie Bender, Spawn Technician;  and Amazing Pictures From A  Different Point of View, Kathleen Grieger.

Various tours are being planned to Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Ebert's Greenhouse in Ixonia, the Schlitz Audubon Center, Forest Beach Migratory Preserve and the Milwaukee Art Museum.  Spouse tours include Milwaukee Highlights including  the Milwaukee Brewing Company and the Harley Davidson Museum; EAA Experimental Aircraft Association, Case IH Manufacturing Plant, SC Johnson facilities designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Wingspread Conference Center; Kohler Design Center and Black Wolf Run Golfing.  Things of interest to

everyone.

We would appreciate each state having a representative prepare a design for everyone to enjoy.  These designs would be placed throughout the hotel.  No rules to follow except sending the name of the designer to us so we can give credit  to those preparing the designs.

We are asking our sister states in Central Region to assist us by taking out Ads in the Program Book (1/4 pg. $25.00, 1/2 pg. $50 and a full page $100.00) and helping  to provide items for tote bags.  The items could be brought to the Central Region Meeting this Fall to keep from bringing extra baggage to the 2020 convention.  We are all aware that many hands make light work, so feel free to offer to help in any convention area that you are interested  in pursuing.

We're looking forward to all of Central Region taking an active part in this NGC convention as a team with enthusiasm and happiness.
